Welcome back to GoDaddy Release Notes, a blog that provides entrepreneurs and small business owners the latest news, product updates and innovations. In October, GoDaddy rolled out enhancements to the GoDaddy Payments and Studio platforms, as well as several improvements to the domain investor experience. Read on to learn more:
- GoDaddy Payments Customers Receive Immediate Notification Once Payments Are Issued
- GoDaddy Payments provides small business owners more peace of mind through its new automated payout email notifications. The notifications are automatically initiated once a payment is received and include timely information such as the amount paid out (or debited), when the funds can generally be expected to be credited to the bank, as well as a link to the activity in their Payments hub, with detailed information on each individual payout. Entrepreneurs do have the ability to disable notifications in their GoDaddy Payments Hub dashboard if they prefer.
- GoDaddy Studio Adds New Wallpaper Maker Feature
- In line with Apple's recent customizable lock screen update with the rollout of iOS 16, GoDaddy Studio has released an exciting new feature called Wallpaper Maker – which does exactly that. Users can now easily create customized iPhone wallpapers in minutes using Studio's graphics, photos, business logos, Apple’s emojis, or any combination of these.
Download Studio in the App Store here and navigate to the Wallpaper Maker in the templates feed to start designing. For tips and tricks, check out Dylan’s YouTube tutorial.
- GoDaddy Portfolio Manager General Availability and Other Updates
- In July 2022, GoDaddy shared that Portfolio Manager Beta was enabled in the U.S. and all English-speaking markets. Today, GoDaddy’s Portfolio Manager is fully available in the U.S., with the remaining markets completing by early November. Now domain name investors will automatically be directed to the new Portfolio experience, if they had not already opted in to Beta. However, domain investors who do not want to experience the new Portfolio Manager can revert to the old experience if desired.
- Domain investors will also be able to see the following updates in their portfolio:
- Improved the processing speed and added more functions to the bulk action bar
- Added subcategories to the navigation menu
- Protection Plans are now available for eligible country-code domains
- GoDaddy Auctions Adds Majestic SEO Data to Search Results
- In an effort to help domain name customers make more informed decisions when buying expired domains and building their portfolios, GoDaddy has added Majestic data to its Auctions search results, allowing customers to analyze domains for search engine optimization (SEO) value. This is a huge addition for Auctions customers, and it reaffirms GoDaddy’s ongoing commitment to the investor community by providing data and sensible guidance whenever possible. Majestic SEO data will only be available to customers who are currently using the beta version of the platform, it is not available in classic view.
