Welcome back to GoDaddy Release Notes, a blog that provides entrepreneurs and small business owners the latest news, product updates and innovations. In December, GoDaddy rolled out several updates to user experiences for both website builder and domain customers. Read on to learn more:
- Domain Account Transfers Experience Overhauled
- GoDaddy revamped the Portfolio Manager’s Change of Account (CoA) experience by integrating it with registrar transfers and the transfer resolution center. This integration now enabled for all customers across all markets. The objective was to help customers transfer domains between their GoDaddy accounts with ease and reduce the need for customers to contact the company’s Care team. The CoA overhaul resulted in an increase of more than 50% in the ease-of-use rating!

- GoDaddy Adds Pay Buttons Across All Website Builder Plans
- GoDaddy makes taking payments easier and more accessible than ever through its latest integration of Pay Buttons, now available to all Websites + Marketing customers in the U.S. including those on the free plan. Small businesses can quickly turn any action button on their website into a Pay Button and collect payment for things like bills, invoices, donations, registration fees, membership dues and more. The Pay Button is powered by GoDaddy Payments pay links and offers the lowest transaction fee in the industry - at 2.3% + 30 cents (USD) - compared to other leading providers.

- Domain Settings Beta Enabled to All GoDaddy Customers
- GoDaddy customers visiting their Portfolio Manager’s Domain Settings page will now see a blue “Try Beta” button, allowing them to opt-in to the new user experience (UX). Aligned with the North Star design language, this experience stimulates domain listings, protection, and makes it effortless to activate a domain!

- GoDaddy Corporate Domains (GCD) Launches Brandsight Domain API
- The new Brandsight application programing interface (API) will enable GCD clients to register, transfer, renew and otherwise manage their domain names on the Brandsight platform. The API delivers best-in-class tools to optimize corporate domain portfolio performance.

- Added ability to refresh the box on the page that contains all biddable auctions, making it easier to see changes to current auctions
- A countdown timer, which allows users to watch the screen and see updates as bidding comes to a close
- A count-up timer showing how long it has been since the auction bid data has been updated
- Auctioned domains that now stay on the bidding screen until the bidding box on the user interface is refreshed
