Tap Your Heart Out: GoDaddy Brings Cost-Effective POS Solution to Businesses on Android

Half of Gen Z and nearly one third (31%) of Millennials said they prefer paying via Tap to Pay when using a debit or credit card, according to new GoDaddy survey data. It’s crucial small businesses adopt contactless payment methods to stay competitive.

GoDaddy’s launched Tap to Pay on Android to help small businesses take payments without any extra hardware. All that's needed is an Android device and the free GoDaddy Mobile App. Available to U.S.-based businesses, this new feature is especially helpful to small business owners on-the-go, like plumbers or your local pet groomer.

Small businesses can accept Tap to Pay on Android payments through the GoDaddy Mobile App in just three easy steps. They simply need to:

  1. Log into the GoDaddy Mobile App (or download the App and create an account)

  2. Select Tap to Pay on Android

  3. Enter the transaction amount

And they’re ready to accept all major types of in-person contactless payments, including physical debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other digital wallets.

The GoDaddy Mobile App is powered by GoDaddy Payments and its industry-low transaction fees* at 2.3% + 0 cents per in-person transaction. Small businesses using GoDaddy Payments save more than 20% on card processing compared to other providers. GoDaddy’s Tap to Pay on Android solution makes offering quick tap payments accessible, while simultaneously saving small businesses money.

This Android integration follows GoDaddy’s launch of Tap to Pay on iPhone in Spring 2023, so now all GoDaddy customers can transform their smartphone into a point-of-sale device.

Businesses can download the GoDaddy Mobile App at godaddy.com/payments/tap-to-pay.

*Lowest pricing compared to leading providers Square, Stripe, and Shopify for ecommerce, in-person and keyed in transactions.
