GoDaddy Hires Industry Veteran Lauren Antonoff, New SVP of Digital Identity

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Feb. 18 2015) – GoDaddy, the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, has named Lauren Antonoff, a highly respected software industry veteran, as Senior Vice President of Digital Identity. Antonoff bolsters GoDaddy’s management team with considerable experience building easy-to-use software that helps people get their best work done.

Antonoff joins GoDaddy from Microsoft where she has been leading the SharePoint team since 2011. Antonoff spent 18 years at Microsoft in a number of leadership positions across SharePoint, Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and Outlook Express for Mac. While there, she founded the Step-Up program, designed to increase the number of women in senior management roles by helping participants become stronger candidates for these roles.

“The best software companies are those that truly understand the needs of their customers and design applications that meet those needs as simply as possible,” said Antonoff. “GoDaddy already has amazing relationships with its small business customers. I can’t wait to deliver simple, fast, mobile software that will help them successfully navigate new technologies and business models.”

Antonoff will lead GoDaddy’s Digital Identity division, which is focused on enabling small businesses to create and manage all aspects of their digital identity. Most small businesses today still have a dotted and disconnected presence across the Web — from their own websites and email to social, review sites, listings, search engines and marketplaces. GoDaddy’s goal is to enable small businesses to seamlessly manage this experience, enabling them to easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures.

“Lauren has been where we want to go. She has built a multi-billion dollar product line by developing seamlessly integrated product suites that are designed around the user experience,” GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving said. “Beyond her exceptional technology background, I’m excited about Lauren’s proven leadership in helping women achieve their full potential in the workplace. We’ve made solid and visible progress in this area, and Lauren’s sure to help accelerate that.”

Antonoff attended the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a dozen patents. She will be based out of the company’s San Francisco office.

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz. U.S.A., GoDaddy has facilities across 14 other locations including Washington, Massachusetts, Iowa and California in the U.S.A. Globally, GoDaddy has locations in Mexico, Brazil, U.K., Canada, Netherlands, Singapore and India.
