GoDaddy Makes FORTUNE 'Best Companies To Work For®' List

Honored as a "Fun, Collaborative Workplace Where You Can Make a Difference"

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY), the world's largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, is ranked as one of the "Top Companies to Work For®" in the U.S., according to FORTUNE magazine.

GoDaddy ranks 95th in FORTUNE's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For®" survey, published this morning. GoDaddy is recognized for employee satisfaction, a collaborative work environment and fun perks, among other cultural qualities that employees say inspires and nurtures good work.

Each year, FORTUNE magazine partners with the Great Place to Work® Institute to develop a comprehensive survey that examines team member satisfaction through questions about compensation, empowerment and training to rank U.S. companies. The survey is randomly distributed to team members, with the results of the survey accounting for two-thirds of the overall company score. The remaining company score is determined through the Great Place to Work Institute's Culture Audit, a comprehensive series of questions and surveys on benefits, hiring and recognition.

According to FORTUNE's survey, 94 percent of GoDaddy team members surveyed say GoDaddy is a great atmosphere. Additionally, 94 percent of team members surveyed say they take great pride in the company and 90 percent say they can be themselves at work. The company was also recognized for its compensation and benefit packages, as well as generous vacation policies.

GoDaddy made the prestigious FORTUNE list for the first time in 2012, and in the past year also ranked as a top work place by Anita Borg Institute's Top Companies for Women Technologists, Seattle Business Magazine's Top Places to Work, Bay Area's Top Workplaces and Arizona Business Magazine's Most Admired Companies.

GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving has focused on recruiting and retaining top talent since joining the company three years ago. "Building diverse teams who love collaborating and riffing on new ways to solve our customer's problems is a top priority for GoDaddy. Our goal is to create a work environment where all talented people can achieve great things and grow. We know when our employees are happy, our customers are the ultimate winner," he said.

CEO Blake Irving has been especially passionate about team-building and diversity. Last year, for the first time ever, Irving revealed GoDaddy's salary data based on gender, inviting other companies to be more transparent as a way to help achieve salary parity in the technology industry. Mr. Irving is set to deliver a keynote address at the 2016 Great Place to Work® Conference April 7 in San Diego, where he plans to focus on "Building Unity within Diversity."

GoDaddy employs approximately 5,000 people and is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., with facilities across 15 other locations, including Washington, Massachusetts, Iowa and California in the U.S., as well as Asia, Brazil, India, Canada, Mexico, U.K., Australia and The Netherlands, internationally.

It's been said GoDaddy democratized domain names, bringing the power of the Internet to Main Street. The company's domain name portfolio stands at more than 62 million, which is more than any registrar in the history of the Internet. GoDaddy, considered an on-ramp to the Web, now offers a full suite of products designed to help people succeed online, especially small business who appreciate GoDaddy's consultative brand of customer service that is, to date, unmatched in the tech industry. GoDaddy serves in 53 markets, serving more than 14 million customers in 26 languages and 44 currencies.

"Elite recognition like making the 'FORTUNE Best Companies' list shows just how valuable our commitments to trust and transparency are," said GoDaddy Chief People Officer Auguste Goldman. "Our employees, collectively, work together so we all have a voice at GoDaddy. We focus on not only 'what' we do, but, 'how' we get things done. We know when our workforce has ownership, we collectively shape our culture and create uncommon outcomes for both our employees and our customers."
